Hello Prospective Members,

My name is Michael Sterling and I'm President of the NABA Chapter at the University of Central Florida. Our Chapter's objective is to bridge the opportunity gap and facilitate minorities in the finance and accounting fields. My team and I take joy in knowing our members are taken care of and are put in the right position to succeed. Additionally, we accept all business majors or those interested in business as well. We are a group of like-minded individuals willing to give our members every opportunity to succeed. Although the size of our Chapter is smaller, we build more intimate relationships with each other as well as employers that will be of relevance in the future. NABA offers our members networking opportunities, vital programs, scholarships, and meaningful professional connections to help assist in optimizing your potential.

Throughout the semester we are keen on engaging with employers and helping our members earn opportunities that can benefit them professionally, financially, and personally. Some employers we interacted with in the past include but are not limited to Big Four Firms, Verizon, Raymond James, Hilton, etc. Our annual student conference is the biggest event of the year. This is where corporations and businesses of all sizes come and recruit our members specifically. Our end goal is to have our members network and receive offers from companies they’re most interested in to help increase their chances of full-time employment right after college! NABA’s motto is “lifting as you climb” and as a developing accounting professional myself, I vouch to give the same opportunities to those who are coming after me. In closing, I am looking forward to meeting all of you and can’t wait to start the semester.
